Rosetta Stone is a great software. But does it really dig deep in the the structure of the language which is really important?

I have found Rosetta to be pretty thorough in getting you up and running in a new language (I focused on Spanish). I wouldn’t call it the equivalent of a language studies program but that’s one of the problems I found with the community college language classes. They don’t get you speaking naturally very quickly.
As for cost, I found the program thru the Web at http://www.cbcwebcollege.com for $48. It’s a good way to go for me because I have a hard time making the time to use the program and this way I can use it from my home workstation or at my business. Plus I have access to all of the levels and have even explored some of the other languages Rosetta Stone has to offer.
I also like the modular approach Rosetta Stone takes. It makes the learning very systematic and allows me to do a little here and a little there to build on my language skills.
